2009 Offical Supporter Update
Five full sections have been set aside for the supporter groups; 2 for the Loyalists, 2 for the RCB, and 1 for the FCB. A total of 1648 seats (I believe I got that number right)
These sections will be behind the south goal, as is fairly standard in MLS and soccer around the world, (I don't like it, but I do understand it).
There will be no front row premium for seats in the supporter sections, and the seats will be offered at a discounted price of $275, which is $25 less than the north end of the stadium.
These sections will be clearly labled to indicate on stadium maps, on the new ticketing software, and on the actual tickets.
RSL is offering private tours and seat selection events for the supporter groups, prior to the general relocation project begining, all events will start at 5:30pm and RSL will provide food for the events:
Loyalists June 16th
RCB June 17th
FCB June 19th
There will be no sponsor signage in the sections, open space for group banners and signs. RSL is also wanting to work with groups in using their graphic design staff, and banner printer to offer discounted banners and signs.
RSL will work on allowing for groups to have a storage area at the stadium for banners, flags, drums, and other equipment
They are working on finding an area on the stadium grounds to allow for tailgating.
The stadium will open for the last two regular season matches:
Oct 9th vs. Red Bulls
Oct 18th vs. FC Dallas
seats for these will be done on a straight seat for seat move, the supporter group sections will be open for the matches
Samba Gringa has been put on notice that if supporter groups are able to keep the stadium loud for the full matches that they will no longer be needed, until then the FO is offering to be a liason to coordinate between the groups
Public sale of tickets will start on July 1st
I am waiting for a copy of the detailed map of the south sections and I will post a link to that as soon as I get it.
mark your calendars for the 17th and let's get as many people there and picking out their seats, a 25% deposit will be required, and the remaining payments are set for November and January (I think).
