So...I had this crazy idea...

Postby utah_heretic » Tue Jun 26, 2007 7:53 pm

Jason was talking to me about putting together a team from his pub composed of employees and patrons who don't play soccer...people who may have once but don't anymore.

I told him I thought it would be fun to put together an RCB team and hold a game some away game date.

Rules: (Tentative)
No players may currently be registered for any league team.
Teams will be co-ed, but will have no requisite number of female/male players.
The opposing teams coach will get to choose your goalkeeper (thus eliminating each teams' best player.)

Time limit on halves is open for debate...some discussion of having a drinking circle if you sub off has been discussed...not sure how that impacts non-drinkers...not sure whether that means they don't get to sub off, or whether they need to walk in a circle while they're off the pitch.

I think it would be a blast for some away game...and I think an RCB fielded team would have a chance.

Not a problem Lurpy, it's not going to be held in a bar...though I'd like to have a bar I could play soccer in.

I'm in. But I don't drink. If that means I have to play the entire time, so be it. I might actually do okay if everyone else is drunk.

Donk
Castle,
and maybe George.

Who else? Need 14 to make a good go of it...otherwise a lot of people will be hurling on the pitch...and not in a good gaelic way.

My friend Jairo from Columbia would be down as well. He has wanted to get in some pick up fun games, he use to play a lot back in his youth.

Irish George has said there is nothing he would rather do than " Fuck up those catholic bastards on the pitch" but that is only if it is on a weekend.
Fuck Karma, I'll make my own way.
