RSL vs. NY Western Conf. Final

Postby JUDGE DREDD » Sun Nov 16, 2008 2:02 pm

Well the football gods were not smiling on us last night.

I am still proud of how well this team did! Who would have honestly believed at the start of the season we would have made it this far?

Highlight of the night for me was all the fun we had at the tailgate and post match tailgate..Which a few of us did not leave until 03:10!!

From what I heard the stadium sounded great; even the Chicken seats were getting into the chants and banging their 'Thunder Sticks' to the beat of our drums.

Thanks for a fun season everyone...I do hope to see you over this long winter!

Three balls off the damn post is kinda ridiculous, especially when we outshot them 24 to 11. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't convert any of those. But such is life. And you're right, this is a much better end to the season than the previous ones. I'd love to have made the Cup, but considering playoffs were looking unlikely until 89 minutes into the last Colorado game, I'm okay with the season as a whole. It's gonna be a long winter though.

I would like to apologize for my actions last night, I have limited recollection of all of them, but I Greg, you did ask, so there you go. At least this time there isn't photographic evidence of it.

Just rewatched the match and did my match review, it is clear that the better team doesn't always win, but you have to love the heart this team has showed. If we play all year like we did the last 5 matches of this season, we will be secure in the playoffs again next season and making another run towards the cup.

The expansion draft is just weeks away, and it is just over 4 months until we will be back watching RSL go for it again.
The RCB is moving to sections 8 & 9 at the new stadium, do you have your 2009 season tickets?

While the result wasn't what we wanted or deserved, it was a great time on Saturday night. The tailgate was top class and it was great meeting a bunch of you guys.
