This will be a huge match for Real Salt Lake and the state of Utah. Below is a little more information on Club América and the great soccer heritage they will be bringing to Utah on July 11th.

Officially named Club de Fútbol América (or C.F. América), is based in Mexico City and owned by Emilio Azcárraga, who owns broadcasting corporation Televisa, making it the richest club in Mexico, and arguably the richest outside Europe. América and its rivals, Chivas de Guadalajara, share not only a long-standing rivalry but the distinction of being the two most successful teams in the Mexican first division - América with its 10 championships, behind Chivas and its 11. Meetings between the two, which have become known as Super Clásicos, are played at least twice a year and signal a national derby. Having never been relegated to the league's second division, they are the only two clubs to have been in the first division of the Mexican football league from the very beginning.

It ought to be interesting, better that the clubs they brought in last year. America is an entertaining side to watch, since we have two weeks off, I expect we will probably play our starters for at least half so it could be a good test to see how the second half of the season will go.

The tickets for this match should be mailed out soon, they will be coming with the All Star tickets.
The RCB is moving to sections 8 & 9 at the new stadium, do you have your 2009 season tickets?

Alright....I am heading to this one...Who is all going?

First kick at 6?? If so I am guessing not much of a tailgate going on for this match? Parking passes???

Lurpy..you going to keep your tradition alive?? I was a little disappointed at the Chivas playoff match you did not get escorted out like so many times at RES.... ...

Should be interesting in the south end for this match.

Yeah, I suppose I'll go. Since I'm going I may as well start tailgating early; not sure I want to watch Club America sober. I'll be there at 3 if anyone else will be, otherwise I'll probably show up at 4ish. And I try, Judge! But it's harder to get kicked out at the Riot than at RES.

Also wondering which way Barra Real's gonna end up going this game.

Whoever is getting to the tailgate early...please save a parking pass and a parking space for me. I get off work around 4:30 so I will be out there right before 6.
I have the RCB flag, flags, big drum, and all the other goodies.

THANKS! :D
