Utah Blaze ALF

Postby JUDGE DREDD » Sun Jun 10, 2007 10:43 am

So last night I went to my first Utah Blaze game. I got some free tickets when I went down to the sports radio show with the ROC Flag, Tibet Flag and Mao masks on Friday. They were just down the road from me and I figures since a few of The RCB and myself had already called in I would just drive down there and talk with them.(I will post more about this)

Getting back to the Blaze; so on my way down to the stadium my buddy scored some 2nd row tickets for free. I quickly gave my upper bowl ticket to some random guy on TRAX that I overheard was going to the downtown shelter. Thought he could use a free ticket and something to do.

When I first got down to my seats I was quite impressed to be so close to the action. Well that lasted a whole 12-15 minutes if that! Cool part is if you catch one of the footballs you get to keep it...Wish they would do that at MLS matches. Overall the game is very boring to watch, touchdowns don't mean a thing until the last bit of the game. The play is very stop go with very few plays over 10 yards at a time. The guy we scored the free tickets off said his dad has 5 season tickets where we were sitting; he pays 6K for all 5!! Ughhhhh!!!!

I would not pay to go see another Blaze game..and would really think twice before going to another one with free tickets. If you get the chance to go, it is worth it once.
I had to bust out some cheers and needless to say everyone around me was laughing.

I will post pics soon..

You mean you didn't like the commercial breaks after every stoppage?

The cool thing about the Warriors was they were actually pretty good. It was way too entertaining and tickets were cheap. My friend Jordan and I went to every home game during their last season. I think we paid something like 15 bucks for front row seats. The "ALF" is a joke.

$15 for front row...Blaze get $150 for 2nd row!.. :o
I would NEVER pay that kind of $$ to see them play!!

I'm done with the Blaze. I've been to several games this season (mostly free tickets), and I have found the games to be boring at best. Scoring is pointless. There is no defense. And the Blaze dancers can only keep your attention for so long.

Here's to the Beautiful Game!

I'm with ya there...Like I said I would seriously think about it before going to another game even if offered free tickets on the 2nd row again.
