A dose of reality for everyone, any company that did business in Africa in the 70's or 80's had their fair share of involvement in bad things, some very bad things.

Almost every company that did business in the Middle or Far East in the 70's, 80's or 90's has been involved in some very bad things.

same can be said for central or south america, almost every nation outside of the "first" world has issues and businesses that were in those nations will have huge amounts of baggage.

Anyone who owns a diamond, any gold, silver, steel, or wood can most likely trace the roots of that natural resource back to a company that has issues that would concern most of us. Hell just do a little research into bananas, talk about blood fruit.

The best we can hope for is that in the new world, one in which information is so freely available, and one in which social and enviornmental issues are now at the forefront of the publics attention that change can happen.

I still have doubts, because you simply have to look at the slavery issues in India and Africa, the corruption in every election taking place in South America or Africa, or the issues that still loom in Dafur to understand that there are very few people, and fewer companies that can say their hands are free of blood or toxins.

I don't pretend to be anytype of advocate, but there is no doubt that Rio Tinto has issues, but name a company that doesn't.
The RCB is moving to sections 8 & 9 at the new stadium, do you have your 2009 season tickets?

What are those yellow things doing on our pitch???

Strange to see pointy ball field goals on our pitch.

I am fine with them hosting non soccer events, just so long as when soccer season comes that there are only one set of lines of the pitch for matches.

Heck with the screwed up economy, I say host more events. The more money that the stadium makes, the more the team has.

With the number of rumors of players interested in MLS, having a good balance sheet will be important.

I'm all for it too..as long as it does not rip up our beautiful pitch..Or have those stupid lines on the pitch...much like the damn rugby ones that were there the night we lost to NY in the western final.
It was just strange to click on the webcam and see that.

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere on here or BS/etc. but when when is the stage covering going to be be removed and the rest of the seats in the south end put back in? Logically, I was thinking they'd make the transition for the All-Star game and leave it that way at least until the USA v. El Salvador game, if not the rest of the year (not sure what concerts are planned in the fall).

Watching the game online last night and it looked a bit shit for you guys to have a big ass pillar in front of the section as well. Maybe it's not as bad as it looked from the camera angles.

Ohhhh..it is way shitty having that damn pole right in front of us!
Our FO really fucked us over with this stage fiasco!
From what I have heard the seats will be back for the All-Star match and will remain that way for the rest of the season...but I have also heard several other versions of this story from as many RSL FO members. I don't think anyone ReAlly knows.

Sounds typical from the FO. There's a few of us from Idaho coming down for the Seattle game in August, so (being completely selfish) it's promising to hear that the stage *should* be gone by then.

Off topic here - are there any more RCB scarves available for purchase?

Joined the facebook group. Seeing the photos on there magnifies the levels of shittiness. In some capacity, the FO needs to compensate everybody who got view-obstructed tickets when they thought they were getting seats with an clear view. Just bullshit.

Good to hear there are scarves available. I went ahead and clicked on the paypal link of the front of the site to officially join. August can't come soon enough.

Yeah that damn pole blocked my view of Beckerman's goal at the last match!

Very good....good to hear you are "official" now.
