Pirate (no longer a minor)??????????

Postby Steele » Tue Jul 01, 2008 8:04 pm

Dear Dr. GeNioS,

It has come to my attention that one of our finest members will no longer be pure after Friday. Lurpy the Pirate has declared his adulthood and will no longer be barred from "Private-Club establishments" (at least due to state law age requirements).
My question is this: What do you get a member who turns 21? Is it too predictable to buy them a PBR or would a simple 'Congrats' do the trick.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, I wish you well and drive safe.
I must be the ID10T

Thanks Steele. I don't drive, so I'll make someone else DD.

And congratulations and free booze are always accepted  .

Well Well Well....the age old question of "21" has again posed itself in public forum....

I can think of a number of options here.....of course local laws of the state of Utah cuts the list down considerably.

But, in my own humble opinion, I believe the question is posed wrong. Does a date arriving and changing one's age from 20 to 21 really make a difference to the pysche of an individual? Is said person ready to take on the challenges that come with the responsibilties of such age? Will said person clean the toilet properly after hurling his many mai tai's?

So, as it goes, a rite of passage is really what is in order here. This rite can be anything, but the general requirement is (as defined by Dr. GeNioS' Dictionary of made up bullshit) anything that, if caught, would cause you to be detained by the "authorities", yet once detained, not necessarily arrested and/or charged with any crime.

Steele, as poser of question, I leave the rite of passage to you, but for personal reasons and out of sympathy for said "21 year old," I highly suggest nothing requiring the mixing of weed and alcohol, especially when in the general vicinity of a viatnamese hooker named Wing-Tao. Just saying.......

Or, if you don't want to warn him, just give him all he needs to make a night to remember (or forget as soon as he can block it out): beer, weed, a hooker, and a $50 bill for the cab ride.

Out.
