G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

Postby JUDGE DREDD » Mon Aug 17, 2009 6:53 pm

Better than I was expecting after hearing most of the reviews on it.
I grew up on G.I. Joe; the toys, comics, cartoon and video game. To this day the cartoon is still fun to watch from time to time. This movie seemed to try to capture some of the cheesiness of the cartoon and add a whole lot of action to make up for the lack of acting. One of the only major actors in the film really has very little screen time (Quaid). Snake Eyes..why did they give his mask lips??? His whole thing was he never talks so why see his mouth through the mask? That bugged me!
For a movie based on a toy/cartoon/comic it was entertaining.
Much better than a bunch of big robots kicking the shit out of one another!

Worth seeing in the theaters if you are into action movies, and well worth a rental when it comes out on DVD.

you with experience." So always remember this, "Some people are like
slinkies, not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to
your face when you push them down a flight of stairs."
