2009 Offical Supporter Update

This is all the old stuff from all the other threads.

All I know is if the FO throws a fit because I'm choosing to sit in the supporters section when my ticket is clearly worth more I'm going to start breaking some knees.

Well...hmmm my question remains....should I even buy season tickets? Why waste the money if Im not using them. I got them this year mostly to hold my spot for the new stadium but if we are in the endzone that strategy went to hell pretty much. So I think I just wont get a ticket next year. I can always just use my press pass and sit with you if I want anyways. SIGH.

They won't throw a fit, they simply won't let you in the section. It was clear that seat hopping either up or down price levels is not going to be allowed. At RES you 40,000 seats and 10-15,000 people so it isn't a big issue, but when you get to a stadium with 20,000 seats, it will be a much larger issue.

It should be interesting to see how much the end of seat hopping hurts the growing of the group. Most supporters groups in the league are surrounded by regular fans. While in the stadium all of salt lakes supporters will be in our own stand(BTW I think a kickass name is needed for the Stadium.). Around the league the closest supporter group to our new situation is the ESC in new york. Their section is surrounded by tarps.
One of the benefits of hanging around a group of soccer supporters is that your taste in beer goes up a lot. It’s like “Sideways” with more swearing. But we digress.

Just not sure what to do since there is no possible way I can make it that day.

You can buy seasons tickets in that section at any time. You just have to be a RCB member

Does it bug anyone else that their sales rep keeps changing without anyone telling you or asking if you would prefer to pick? I apparently have JC now, which is fine but no one ever told me that Scott had changed jobs and that JC is my new rep. Like a Hello, Im JC, Im going to be your new sales rep would be nice. I think I have had a different sales rep each year, actually more than one a year I bet they dont even consider that this isnt the best business practice. SIGH. Oh wait....we are talking about RSL. DUH.

Any chance someone could pick me up on their way to the stadium? I work at 4500 S 700 E, and I'd be willing to pay gas money, but I don't get off work till around 5 so there's no way I could make the meeting on time via public transit.

Well I plan to be there Tuesday....Guess it was good I came back from Europe after all.

See you all Tuesday at the new stadium.

Ok...If you plan on going tonight to pick out seats here is what I have just heard from the FO.

Since it's an active construction sight:

NO SHORTS
NO SANDALS
NO KIDS UNDER 14

They also want a list of all those who will be there tonight.

I am sure you all would just love the FO to be calling you...

So instead of the FO calling you....Can you either call Davey at the FO
860-3123....Or call me before noon and let me know if you plan on showing up so I can let Davey at the FO know how many to expect from the RCB tonight.

DO NOT POST ON HERE IF YOU ARE GOING...I WILL NOT SEE THIS BOARD AGAIN UNTIL LATER THIS EVENING..SO PLEASE CALL ME BEFORE NOON OR CALL DAVEY.

Thanks

OK we had about 20 people show up, not bad for a weeknight.

The FO provided meals from cafe rio, beating the pizzas from little ceasers. Bill Manning, Garth, Trino, Kris, Kai, Trey, Davy and a couple others were there to answer questions, give tours and show their support for the RCB and all the supporter groups.

We had a couple of the new members show up, and if you were not there, then you need to hurry there are still a few front row seats open (some in section 8 and a couple in section 9)

I will be getting a copy of the section maps and posting what seats are sold and which are still open within 24-48 hours.

If you have any questions you can contact me or Judge and we will do our best to answer them.

OK, if your wanting to buy tickets in sections 8 or 9, you can not do so at the relocation event, no clue why the FO couldn't get this worked out, but go out take the tour, look around, meet the players, and then call Kris K. or Kai M. at the RSL offices to order seats in the RCB sections.
